Jeff Clark is an American artist who creates abstract paintings that span historical eras and genres. Bold in color and imagery, Clark’s work dives into the shadows of the subconscious and mines the spirit for the mysteries we often are afraid to face.
Chaos is inspiration. Out of formless lines, shapes and color, the theme is allowed to develop and emerge, only fully revealing itself when undirected.
Color is storytelling. The use of unorthodox colors make the figures rise above stereotype and become archetype.
The line is not the stricture. Colors and random shapes coalesce and do not fill predefined images.
