About

Jeff Clark is an American artist who creates abstract paintings that span historical eras and genres. His work is reminiscent of the imagery of the ancient Hittite and Egyptian reliefs, Greek and Roman mosaics and frescoes, to the present day work of abstract storytellers, fauvists, symbolists, and even modern cartoonists. Bold in color and imagery, Clark’s work dives into the shadows of the subconscious and mines the spirit for the mysteries we often are afraid to face.

Clark was born in Fremont, California and grew up in Turkey, Cyprus and West Germany. While in secondary school he studied under Angelina Paralikis, Margaret Paraskos, and Martin Rabe. Upon returning to the US he lived in Southern California and relocated to Portland, Oregon before resuming his art career.
